What are the ongoing fundraising opportunities available?

DIRECT DONATIONS

There are a few different ways that you can make a direct monetary donation to the Northwest Band program.  The NWBPO is a registered 501(c)(3) organization, and all donations are tax-deductible. We thank you in advance for your support!

Via this Website

We extend a warm invitation to parents, family, friends, businesses, and the wider Waukee community to support our band program by making an online donation. Click the donate button below to contribute and help us empower our talented students. We accept all major debit and credit cards, as well as Apple Pay, making it convenient for you to show your support. Together, let's make a difference in the lives of our dedicated musicians.

Via RevTrak

Northwest High School band parents and guardians are encouraged to make an annual recommended donation on behalf of their students at the beginning of the school year. This contribution plays a vital role in offsetting the expenses associated with providing essential items such as shoes, gloves, travel expenses, clinicians, snacks, and more, ensuring a fulfilling and enriching experience for our dedicated band students.

Via Check

We accept donations via checks made out to NWBPO. You can simply mail your contribution to the following address: P.O. Box 97, Waukee, IA 50263. Your support is greatly appreciated and will directly benefit the Northwest High School band program. Thank you for your generosity!

CAN SHACK

Redeem your cans and help the Band!  The public can drop cans off at the Can Shack in the Waukee Fareway (200 SE Laurel Street) parking lot. Money earned from the can redemption is split between the band parent organization and the students and parents sorting cans.  You can sign up to volunteer here.

RESTAURANT & SPIRIT NIGHT FUNDRAISERS

Throughout the year, we are thrilled to partner with local restaurants and establishments in the Waukee community for "fundraising spirit nights." These special events give families and friends the opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal or attend an exciting event while supporting our Band. During these occasions, NWBPO receives a percentage of all purchases made, directly benefiting our band program. Stay tuned for announcements about these fundraising spirit nights on our social media platforms, website, and in our weekly band communications.

PRODUCT SALES

Band students are presented with several opportunities throughout the year to sell a diverse range of products. In the past, products sold have included Butter Braids, Nothing Bundt Cakes Bundlets, Echo's Cinnamon Rolls, and more. Keep an eye out for upcoming product promotions through the NWBPO’s social media channels, website, and weekly band communication. Stay informed and support the band through these sales initiatives!
