2024-25 Officers

President 

  • Sets meeting agendas, runs meetings. Has signature backup ability to write checks or get money in absence of Treasurer.

Vice President

  • Runs meetings in absence of President. Has signature backup ability to write checks or get money in absence of Treasurer.

Secretary

  • Takes notes at board meetings, posts meeting notes after vote of approval to the website.

Treasurer

  • Manages the monetary account balances.

2023-24 Committee & Event Chairs

Concessions

  • Works with the band directors or event chairs to plan out the concessions needed for the year.

Equipment/Transportation

  • In charge of coordinating with directors what instruments and props are needed and transporting them to performances.

Fundraising

  • Organize and drive the fundraising events for the band and NWBPO.

Can Shack

  • Sets the schedule, organizes volunteers, provides the key code and maintains the building.

Color Guard Liason

  • The representative for the color guard, including the staff and parents.

Uniforms

  • In charge of organizing and distributing marching band uniforms to students.

At-Large Representatives

  • The representatives for the elementary and intermediate directors and parents. Provides NWBPO related news/information to directors and parents at those schools.

Volunteer Coordinator

  • Works with band directors and other committees on volunteer needs for band events. Develops and maintains sign-ups for various events.

Website/Rev-Trak

  • Maintains and updates the website and sets up the Rev-Trak system for band donations and optional purchases.

Wolf WearHouse

  • In charge of ordering clothing and accessories to sell during home football games and other events.

Bands of America

  • Works with the BOA organization to coordinate volunteers and the schedule of events.

Waukee Marching Invitational (WMI) — Jon Rech

  • Collaborates with the WBPO to co-coordinate the State Marching Contest and Waukee Marching Invitational event.

Blue Note Jazz Festival

  • Works with the band directors to coordinate the event, including volunteer organization.

IIMA Waukee Indoor Percussion

  • Organizes event and concession volunteers in partnership with the WBPO.
