All State and SCIBA Honor Bands Meeting

Interested in auditioning for the All-State and/or All-District or SCIBA Honor Band? Please join us for a meeting on Monday, August 26 from 3:15-4:00 in the Northwest band room. You will not need your instrument for this first meeting, however please bring your audition material with you. 

All students are encouraged to audition, however there are a couple of things to be aware of:

  • Students may audition either for the All-State Band/Orchestra OR the All-State Choir, not both.

  • If you are a member of Eos show choir, you cannot audition for the SCIBA All-District Honor Band. Show choir band members, however, are eligible to audition.

Complete audition information for All-State can be found here: IHSMA All-State Audition Requirements. Auditions for the SCIBA district honor band consists of the first half of each listed etude along with scales. A solo is not required for SCIBA auditions.
